The sand is firm and clean, the beach is sheltered at the edges, and the rock pool areas at each end of the bay are excellent for channel-building projects. At low tide a series of sandy hollows appear between the rocks — perfect for tunnels. One of the best beaches in Devon for combining active digging with rock-pooling.
