Shell Beach
Crunchy, colourful and surprisingly diggable
Beaches composed primarily of broken shells — common on sheltered bays and lagoons where wave energy is low enough for shells to accumulate. The shell fragments pack together well and can hold shapes surprisingly effectively, though the edges can be sharp. A novelty digging experience with built-in treasure (whole shells uncovered as you dig).

Tides & Timing
Usually found on sheltered, low-energy coastlines with modest tidal ranges.
Challenges
Shell edges can be sharp — gloves and water shoes are essential. The surface layer is loose and slides back into any hole you dig.
